Since 2004, the Medical Journal of Australia has been publishing a regular feature called "Teaching on the run." The aim of these articles is to support people delivering training to clinicians by highlighting some of the key issues they have to face and demonstrating how these can be overcome.
These short pieces describe a potential teaching scenario in health care, point out the barriers facing clinicians, identify key problems, and suggest solutions. At the end of each "teaching on the run" tip, a list of useful references is provided.
"Teaching on the run" is very well set out. There are breadcrumbs at the top to allow easy navigation around the document, and there is an option to search PubMed for related articles in other journals. The articles are about 2 pages long in PDF and 5 pages long in HTML. This conciseness makes it ideal to read during a coffee
