Perhaps the title should be evidence-based management of paediatric infectious diseases, which is the essence of this competent book edited by an ensemble of experienced international authors familiar with the methods of evidence-based medicine. The editorial team forms a nice blend of disciplines: clinical paediatric infectious disease, clinical epidemiology, microbiology, and teaching, and the resulting flavour of the text is highly palatable.
