Context
Overweight and obesity are increasing worldwide and present a significant health risk during pregnancy and childbirth. Research efforts have focused on limiting gestational weight gain (GWG). The study by Beyerlein and colleagues evaluated the effect of gestational weight loss (GWL) on pregnancy outcomes.
