    Context

    Treatment of hepatitis C virus (HCV) has improved with new direct-acting antiviral therapies, resulting in improved sustained virological response (SVR) rates, as compared with the treatment with pegylated interferon and ribavirin (RBV).1 ,2 Despite these improvements, direct-acting agents have been linked to resistance when used without interferon therapy.
