Outcomes were the detection of a previously undiagnosed cancer within 1 and 12 months after the diagnosis of VTE.*Medline and EMBASE/Excerpta Medica (to Nov 2007); Cochrane Register of Controlled Trials and Evidence-Based Medicine Reviews (Issue 4, 2007); journals; conference proceedings; and references were searched for cohort studies or randomised controlled trials. 34 studies (nā€Š=ā€Š9516) met the selection criteria. 3286 patients had unprovoked (or idiopathic) VTE, 3297 had provoked (or secondary) VTE, and 2933 had unspecified VTE.The table ā€¦ ER -
