BMA urges better awareness of use of child labour in NHS supplies

Only a tenth of doctors know about fair and ethically made medical supplies for the NHS, a survey carried out by the BMA has found.
The association is calling for much higher awareness of the issue to try to eliminate child labour and dangerous working conditions among those producing NHS supplies overseas.
The NHS spends £20bn (€23bn; $32bn) on procurement every year, some of which is being outsourced to other countries to minimise costs.
